A moon so bright, such a marvelous sight!

It was bedtime on a beautiful Mother's Day night, and as I lay my head down to rest from the joys of the day, I noticed a bright, shining light through the sliver of my blinds. It was so fascinating and spectacular that the light made me jump out of bed, open the blinds wide, and fixate on this gorgeous sight, only to find it was God's creation, the moon. I stood there gazing up at this brilliant, every-night sight for a few extra-long moments before sliding back into bed. My eyelids grew heavy as I lay there, continually gazing at the big, bright light in the sky. I began to whisper a thanksgiving prayer wrapped around Psalms 121. Thank you, Lord, that the sun did not smite us by day nor the moon by night..." The prayer continued in a repetitive state until sleep quickly approached me. Monday morning soon came and went, and then 24 hours later, I found myself in my same spot looking out that same window, gazing out at the same bright light that seemed to shine even more colorful

than the night before. As I continued gazing, something was different from the previous night. There was a distraction that my eyes kept leaning toward. A distraction that kept my attention away from God's creation. It was built up dirt that accumulated on the outside of my window, from all the wind gusts, and thunderstorms that we have experienced for the last few months. My eyes continued to focus back and forth between the dirty distraction and the bright light in the sky, God's marvelous light.

Hold tight, friend, I'm going somewhere (lol).

How often do we focus on the mundane distractions from the beauty and purpose of God in our lives? The bright moon is still there by the grace of God, doing its created job, and guess what, so is the dirt. Let us refocus on Him and our intended purpose, what we have been called to do, and not on the dirt in our lives. We can clean it up, sure, but let's not let the dirt of our imperfect lives manifest in our purpose. Our purpose is His light, which should be a reflection of Him working through you, me, one dust pan at a time. It's a daily task to stay clean and pure, but it should not be an assumption that you take on solely. Seek God's face for His guidance. Psalms 32:8 TPT

Someone is waiting for you today. Someone is waiting for you tonight. Keep walking in your purpose so those connected to you (whom you may not have even met) can continue walking in theirs.

I am living in, on, and for purpose, are you?
