Bondage

What does that word mean to you? Do you receive a visual of people in chains when you hear this word? Yes, I did too. As I continued to roll that word around in my head, God reminded me that we walk around today in Bondage because of our own doings. Not physically, but rather spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and maybe even financially for some. The reason we are in Bondage may be our own fault! Wait! What? You did not see that coming unh! I know Chile; I didn't either.

What do you think about daily? What do you dwell on daily? What issues are you facing today? Are you more of a negative person or a positive person? Do you see more rainbows or dark clouds? Depending on your truth-filled answers to yourself, you may be holding yourself in Bondage. WOW! Right!

We have heard many times; it's all about our perception, our unforgiveness, our stubbornness, and so on. Let's wrap all these up in one-word, Bondage!

Friends, today I want to remind you of what you already know, you hold the keys to those shackles and chains. When you are ready, unlock them and go free.

Now that we have discovered this about ourselves, what are some practical ways to be set free?

  1. Admit we have placed ourselves in Bondage

  2. Shed some tears and surrender to God (this will need to happen multiple times)

  3. Pray-specific prayers of release

  4. Allow yourself and your schedule to be immersed in our Trinity's presence. (Don't rush this, y'all)

  5. Slowly and indeed, the transformation will take place. (This is not an overnight process or even a few weeks)

The bible says in 2 corinthians 5:17 that we are new creatures because we trust, believe in, and accepted Jesus Christ as our savior. This scripture literally means we are no longer in Bondage by God. So why do we hold ourselves hostage? Do you believe you are free once you accept Christ as your savior? Can you comprehend you are totally forgiven?

Focus on these scriptures today for me. 2 Corinthians 5:11-17 and Ezekial 36:26

Let us work on this together!

Living in, on, and for purpose, are you?
