I have confidence in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; how about you? There is so much going on in our world daily, so much hatred, self retribution, spiritual attacks, job loss, unexpected and callous deaths, rebellious children, rampant evictions, and building racial hatred, to name a few. If this were all there was to life, I would be depressed and possibly you as well. Thank God, I am a child of God, and I can look beyond the upsets of the world and remember. I can ask the Holy Spirit to help me remember all his favor not only in my life but also in the life of others I am privileged to be associated with.
Let's filter through some scripture so you too can now say I have GODfidence! Psalm 46:1 NKJV God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Have you ever been in some deep shiggty and you called on Jesus, and it seemed like He came running, busing down doors just for you? Psalm 50:15 NKJV Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Genesis 50:19-21 NKJV 19 Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for I am in place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people. 21 Now, therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones. And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Do you see what I'm talking about, GODfidence?
Okay, I see you are hungry for more! Joshua 1:9 NKJV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." GODfidence! This is one of my favorites when dealing with spiritual warfare; Deuteronomy 28:7 NKJV The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. Lord have mercy when you just received some unpleasant news or had to deal with a treacherous situation or person(s), Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
Baby, where is your GODfidence? Psalm 5:11-12 NKJV But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. 12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor, You will surround him as with a shield. Well, fam, let's not leave here thinking the bible cannot read us right back when we are wrong too, keep reading. Psalm 51:1-2 NKJV Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. Skip on down a few verses. (Well, you can keep reading in your word, but for blog purposes) let's hurry on down to verse 10. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. So you still want to work on yourself, more specifically, your heart? Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. GODfidence!
My Godifence is not perfect, but progressing daily. I am asking you to seek His face through it all. Seek His face in the good, the fantastic, the not-so-good, and the most terrible of it all.
One last scripture; Revelation 3:20 NKJV Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him.
Now, for you to obtain GODfidence you have to put in the work, remember the bible says in James 2:21 faith without works is dead I have started you off, now it's on you to add to your spiritual knowledge to grow it, maintain it, nurture it, and eventually explode into GODfidence.
